Who we are

Veriscents was founded in 2026 by fragrance industry veterans, within a parent company that has been in continuous operation since 1978 — 48 years of manufacturing, sourcing and formulating behind a young brand.

That combination is the whole point. The catalogue is new; the infrastructure underneath it is not. When you order a material from us it is decanted in a facility that has been handling aromatic chemicals for decades, by people who use the same materials in their own compositions.

We are the perfumer of record for nine fragrance houses as of August 2026. We don't name them — that work is confidential, and a supplier who advertises its clients is telling you what it would say about you.

Why we exist

Buying perfumery materials has traditionally been awkward for anyone who is not already a manufacturer. Suppliers geared to industry sell in kilos and assume you know what you are asking for. Suppliers geared to hobbyists sell small but often can't tell you the CAS number, the supplier, or what amendment an IFRA certificate refers to.

We wanted a source that behaves like a professional supply house at every size — the same identification, the same documentation and the same accuracy whether you are buying 15 ml to evaluate or 5 kg for production.

That shows up in ordinary places. Materials carry CAS numbers and synonyms so you can find them under whatever name you learned. Odour descriptions say what a material does in a formula, not just what it smells like. Sizes start small enough to evaluate honestly, because nobody should commit to 500 ml of something they have never smelled.

Our laboratory

We operate our own laboratory and production facilities, staffed by in-house chemists and perfumers, in a facility holding two FDA registrations — as a food manufacturing facility under 21 CFR, and as a cosmetic facility under MoCRA — and operating to current Good Manufacturing Practice. Practically, that means several things you would otherwise have to take on trust:

We dilute in-house. Evaluation dilutions and kit fills are prepared by us, to a known strength, rather than bought in pre-diluted from an unknown source.
We can answer technical questions properly. A question about solubility, stability in base, or how a material behaves at 0.1% goes to someone who has tested it.
We compound as well as supply. The people packing your order are the same people building fragrances for houses that sell them.

A supplier that only redistributes cannot tell you much beyond what is on the drum label. We would rather be able to tell you why a material is behaving the way it is in your formula.

What cGMP means in practice — written procedures, lot traceability, controlled changes and cross-contamination control — is set out under our standards. Facility registration with the FDA is required of establishments of this kind and does not constitute approval or endorsement of the facility or its products by the FDA.

Materials you cannot buy elsewhere

Alongside materials produced by the major manufacturers, we make and sell our own specialty fragrance chemicals, bases and accords — constructions available nowhere else.

These exist because working perfumers kept needing effects that no single commercial material delivered. Rather than describe the workaround, we built the material. They are sold on the same terms as everything else: identified, documented, and available in evaluation sizes so you can judge them before committing.

How we work

Three commitments shape most of what we do, and each has its own page:

Our standards — how materials are identified, documented and quality-checked before they reach you.
Material sourcing — where materials come from, and how we treat naturals whose character shifts with harvest and origin.
Packaging practices — how orders are filled, sealed, labelled and packed for transit.

We also publish a growing set of guides and a glossary, because a supplier that explains its materials tends to get better questions back.
